Review Adidas adicross Gripmore

By: Adam Smith | Fri 25 Jul 2014

There has been a lot of change over the last few years on the style of golf shoes. Out have gone the heavy and somewhat uncomfortable spiked trend to be replaced by the new generation of the ‘trainer’ shoe which offers all round comfort as well as durability.

Adidas are unsurprisingly one of the leading brands to offer this choice and their superb adicross Gripmore shoe made with their breathable and waterproof Climaproof® technology.

Adidas adicross Gripmore

It took me a while to move over to this style of shoe I have to admit. Previously I was wearing adidas Tour360 ATV M1 shoe which were still comfy and much more down the line of your traditional golf shoe. The adicross Gripmore are a great alternative as they’re lightweight, versatile in weather conditions and absolutely no slipping is happening in them as the natural Adiwear outsole has 54 cleats for maximum grip even on wet grass.

They not only stop you from slipping but they look really good too. Made with upper premium leather with suede accents, metal eyelets and tongue badge they certainly have you stepping onto the first tee with confidence. I really like the splash of red colouring on the sole as well which makes the cleats and maximum grip stand out even more.

The shoe also has a FITFOAM® midsole which is made of a visco-elastic rebound foam that contours to your foot like a custom mould fitting offering more comfort.

Available in three colours (white, grey and black) and retailing at £99.99 the adicross Gripmore are the shoe you should look to next if you’re in the market for the next generation of golf shoe.
