Chervò Ambassadors shine on the Ladies European Tour Access Series

Leading Italian golf and sports apparel brand Chervò and two of British women's golf's brightest young stars are celebrating after Lauren Blease and Charlotte Ellis turned in excellent performances in the Ladies' European Tour's Chervo Ladies (LET) Access Series.

Blease, 24, and Ellis, 27 - who were recently announced as brand ambassadors for Chervò - were both competing in the Royal Belgian Golf Federation LETAS Trophy, at the Rinkven Golf Club, Gravenwezel, Belgium.

Ellis finished in a pleasing tie for sixth place, while Blease finished in highly creditable tie for 26th. The pair are both competing in the LET Access Series in a bid to win their tour cards for the full Ladies European Tour in 2015.

Ellis, who shot rounds of 72, 73 and 73 to finish nine shots behind winner Isabella Ramsay, on two over par - and but for an unfortunate run on the back nine on the final day, could have finished in the top three.

Blease, meanwhile, fired rounds of 76, 76, and 74. Both Ellis and Blease are competing in the LET Access Series in a bid to win their card for the 2015 Ladies European Tour.

The results have seen Ellis move to just outside the top 20 on the LETAS Order of Merit, while Blease rises to a season-best 58th.

The LET Access Series is the official feeder tour to the Ladies European Tour, and has been formed to give players not part of a major tour the opportunity to compete and progress on to the full LET.

The top five players on the 2014 LETAS Ranking will earn membership to the Ladies European Tour for the 2015 season, while the next fifteen players will have the opportunity to progress to the final stage of LET Tour School, thereby skipping the first qualifying event.

Ellis, who now sits in 21st position on the LETAS Order of Merit, said: "I am very pleased with the result - I played well, but parts of my game could still have been sharper, even if my dress sense couldn't!

"But overall I'm very happy, and thanks to LET Access for a great week here in Belgium."
