Staffordshire Get into Golf - Three Steps to Golfing Heaven

By: Golf Shake | Mon 10 Mar 2014

Get into GolfNewcastle-Under-Lyme Golf Club, Staffordshire, is providing a pathway into a sport that brings many health and social benefits with a ladies only programme 'Three Steps to Golfing Heaven'.

  • Step one is the chance to enjoy afternoon tea, learn golf and meet new friends at a free taster event on Sunday, March 16 (12noon-2pm).
  • Step two is a Learn Golf in a Day session on Sunday, April 6, with four hours of expert coaching available from 12noon-4pm for just £35.
  • Step three offers weekly coaching as part of the Get into golf campaign, with five one-hour group lessons starting on Sunday, April 27 (12noon-1pm) at the bargain price of just £25.

Further details from David Cooper on 01782 618526.

Gareth Shaw, the Staffordshire County Golf Partnership development officer said “Golf offers an ideal opportunity to get out in the fresh air and enjoy some healthy exercise, while also enjoying the company of your fellow golfers.

“Any or all of these offers provide a fantastic pathway into the sport for those new to golf or returning to the sport and can be enjoyed in the company of players in a similar position.”

As part of a nationwide campaign, supported by the County Golf Partnership network, Get into golf opportunities include free or low-cost beginner courses with PGA professionals. They are a fun and sociable way to start golf – and a great way to make new friends.

Discounted lessons can cost as little as £25 for a five-week course.
