Park ties record to lead LPGA qualifying school

After 5 gruelling rounds on the LPGA qualufying school, Jane Park topped the leaderboard with a 17 under par finish, matching the tournament record previously set by Ai Miyazato's in 2005.

Park, a rookie on this years LPGA tour and 2004 U.S. Women's Amateur winner, had a final round 3 under par 69 to finish off with the top acolade. Although hot on her heels was Su A Kim in second shooting a 6 under 66 on the Sunday.

"I was playing great so knew I had a good chance to win," Park said. "being able to pull it off was just a great confidence booster ready for the 2008 season. It's a great feeling."

The top 17 finishers after Sunday's fifth and final round earned their LPGA Tour cards for next seasons 33 tournament schedule on the LPGA tour.
