Four Course Classic - UKs Biggest Golf Challenge

How about making 2013 a year to remember and taking on the UK’s biggest golfing challenge?

On Friday 21 June take part in the Four Course Classic playing four courses in a day.

The Muscular Dystrophy’s Four Course Classic event, backed by golfers Darren Clarke and Sam Torrance and golf-lover, Michael Vaughan, will see teams of four players from across the UK taking on four courses, playing 72 holes in the 16 hours of daylight.

Last year the campaign raised more than £60,000 towards the fight against muscle-wasting conditions. Michael Vaughan commented on the event:

“What a great way to put your love of any game to the test – playing from 5am to 10pm! It’s certainly not going to be easy, but the satisfaction of conquering four courses in one day has to be worth the blisters. The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is a great charity, and this is the perfect way for golf-lovers to support it.”

Plus choose from over 400 fantastic courses to choose from, including some of the best in the country, and some great prizes to win and the team that fundraises the most will be whisked away on a seven-night stay at the 5* Intercontinental Aphrodite Hills Hotel in Cyprus, which houses its own 18-hole golf course, courtesy of Thomson Holidays.

All proceeds from the event will help the charity fund its work developing treatments for muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular conditions and improving the lives of the 70,000 people in the UK who are affected.

This year’s fundraising pledge is once again £250 per golfer/£1,000 per team, which all goes to the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
