No Better Time to Book Carnoustie Tee Times On-Line
Posted by: Darren Ramowski on Fri 08 Mar 2013
Each year thousands of golfers from all over the world make a pilgrimage to Carnoustie on the eastern seaboard of Scotland to play the famous Championship course where Ben Hogan won the 1953 Open and which has gone on to stage the world’s oldest Championship on no less than seven occasions.
The Championship course at Carnoustie is universally regarded as one of world’s finest tests of golf and the good news for golfers who want to play it is that it is now easier to book a tee time than it has ever been ever before.

Just under ten years ago Carnoustie became the first Open Championship venue to offer an on-line tee time booking service and it is no surprise this service has proved increasingly popular because it is so simple to use.
The easiest way to book a game of golf at Carnoustie is to log onto www.carnoustiegolflinks.co.uk where you can check the availability of tee times on all three of the town’s courses and book a tee time on any day up until October 31st 2013 when the links will move onto its winter schedule.
Carnoustie’s Combination Ticket
Carnoustie’s Combination Ticket allows adults this summer to play all three courses for just £172* simply by purchasing a Combination Ticket at www.carnoustiegolflinks.co.uk.
Golfers can play the famous Championship course plus two of the most under-rated courses to be found anywhere in the Home of Golf – the Burnside and the Buddon Links. The combination ticket is remarkable value for money because it costs a mere £25 more than an adult tee time on the Championship course and represents a saving of nearly 25% on the cost of individual green fees at Carnoustie’s three courses.
The Burnside course measures just over 6,000 yards and is a great favourite with local players. It started life as a 9-hole course back in the 1890s but was extended to 18 holes in the mid-1930s and is now regularly used as an Open Championship Qualifying venue.
The Buddon Links is the newest course at Carnoustie. It was designed in the late 1970s by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas, and has subsequently been upgraded by a local committee headed by Carnoustie’s former Greens Superintendent, John Philp. The resultant course is a fine links test which measures 5,200 yards and which but which provides an excellent test for golfers of all abilities.
Carnoustie’s full Combination Ticket costs £172* but a Combination Ticket for a round over both the Championship and Burnside courses can be purchased for £167 while a Combination Ticket for a round each on the Championship and Buddon Links courses is available at £162. Tickets for 14-18 year-olds are available at half the quoted prices.
*A full Combination Ticket must be used over a three day period
