La Manga Club Makes Sporting Gesture on Semi-Inclusive Breaks
Sports fans are in for a treat at La Manga Club this year following the luxury Spanish resort’s decision to extend its semi-inclusive packages due to popular demand.
Initially available for winter 2012/13, the award-winning five-star sports complex has been inundated with enquiries that it has moved to broaden the offer for stays until the end of October.
Staying at the four-star Las Lomas Village apartments, a four-night semi-inclusive break costs from €488 per person including three rounds of golf or three hours’ tennis court hire and a range of attractive cost-saving benefits.
These include half-price golf buggy hire, a two-course dinner each night at any of La Manga Club’s restaurants and unlimited drinks in the evening until midnight, while complimentary use of Spa La Manga Club’s fitness centre, indoor pool, saunas and steam rooms is also on offer.
Golf can be taken on any of La Manga Club’s three acclaimed 18-hole courses – the South, North and West – while tennis can be booked at its impressive 28-court tennis academy as three one-hour court slots.
A semi-inclusive four-night stay in La Manga Club’s five-star hotel costs from €563 per person and packages are available to book any time until October 31, apart from July 24 to August 18.
Guests seeking a longer stay can enjoy a seven-night break including five rounds of golf or tennis court hire from only €847 per person, with all prices including VAT and based on two people sharing a room, while groups of eight or more will receive one free place.
And if people fancy taking a break from sport for a day, they can exchange a session for another activity including a spa treatment or relaxing, leisurely lunch.
Set in an area three times the size of Monaco, La Manga Club is renowned for its first-class range of sports facilities and has played host to some of the leading names in sport over the years including David Beckham, Severiano Ballesteros, Arnold Palmer and US Open tennis champion Andy Murray.
The venue, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2012, has made an outstanding start to the new year and, having already signed a deal with the Lawn Tennis Association to be the British tennis governing body’s overseas training base until June 2016, was last month voted ‘Best Golf Resort in Spain’ by readers of Today’s Golfer magazine for the second year running.
La Manga Club boasts unrivalled facilities as a sport and leisure venue including three 18-hole championship golf courses, a 28-court tennis centre and a 2,000sqm spa and fitness centre. It also offers the choice of a five-star hotel, four-star serviced apartments and townhouses, more than 20 bars and restaurants and is great fun for children.
