Congham Hall tees up autumn golf breaks
Posted by: Golf Shake on Fri 17 Aug 2012
Golfers can enjoy a sporty two-night break with the latest offer from Congham Hall in Norfolk. Guests who take advantage of the special deal will be on the doorstep of some of the county’s best clubs – the Royal West Norfolk, Hunstanton, Sheringham and King’s Lynn.
All four courses offer great golf with glorious views. The Royal West Norfolk and Hunstanton Golf Clubs – both ranked in the UK’s Top 100 by top100golfcourses.com – are set by the seashore, while Sheringham Golf Club is perched on a cliff. King’s Lynn Golf Club – where the 10th hole is regarded as one of the best in the East of England – takes in the ancient woods of 12th-century Castle Rising.
Meanwhile, there’s plenty for non-golfing partners to enjoy, too. Congham Hall’s state-of-the-art spa features a 12-metre indoor swimming pool, and there are tennis courts, a putting green and croquet lawn in the grounds. Local attractions include Sandringham House and Holkham Hall, the beaches of the North Norfolk coast, and walking on the Fen Rivers Way. A two-night midweek break costs from £195 per person, based on two sharing a Country Room, or £249 single occupancy, including a full English breakfast and a three-course evening meal on each day.
Guests who book for four nights will each receive a complimentary round of golf at Sheringham or a free treatment worth up to £45 in the hotel’s spa. The special break can be booked for stays Sunday through to Thursday, from 9 September to 25 October, subject to availability. Guests who do not wish to take up the four-night deal to receive a free round at Sheringham Golf Club can still benefit from a 10% discount on midweek green fees at the course when they mention they are staying at Congham Hall when booking their round. Meanwhile, Hunstanton Golf Club is running its own special offer – two rounds of golf, with lunch, for £99 per person – until 30 September.
* Important note: Handicaps are required by all four clubs and guests who wish to play at Hunstanton
must hold a golf club membership elsewhere.
Bookings can be made at www.conghamhallhotel.co.uk or on 01485 600250.
