Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation will be hosting it's prestigious golfing event, the Celebrity Golf Classic, at the Hillside Golf Club in Southport on Thursday 13th September.

Golfers are invited to play the round of their lives at one of the UK’s best links courses with football legends to help defeat lung cancer.

The event offers an ideal opportunity to enjoy a special day with friends or colleagues or entertain and impress corporate clients whilst supporting a great cause.

Hillside Golf Club is situated in Southport, the home of "England's Golf Coast". The course forms part of England's finest stretch of coastal links being adjacent to Royal Birkdale and Southport & Ainsdale with Formby Golf Club a few miles down the road. In June 2011, Hillside hosted the Amateur Championships on behalf of the R&A.

Performance enhancement coach, Dr John Brazier will offer all players the opportunity to play a stronger and more focused game than ever before after a complimentary personal consultation session.

Golfers will play with LFC & EFC legends on a course that forms part of England’s finest stretch of coastal links- an ideal opportunity for a day out with friends or colleagues and all for a fantastic cause. I am currently in the final stages of confirming attendance with Kevin Keegan, Ian Rush and Kenny Dalglish.

The day’s golf will be followed by a three course dinner and a trick shot show by David Edwards that has been performed at some of the top golfing fixtures across the globe- the Ryder Cup, The Solheim Cup and the World Championships.

The evening will conclude with a performance by You Tube sensation, Darren Farley- renowned as ‘the voice of football’ for his hilarious impressions of many of our beloved high profile players and managers.
