Take Your Game to New Heights of Consistency with Champ’s MyHite FLYtee
Posted by: Darren Ramowski on Thu 21 Jun 2012
Teeing the ball up at a correct and consistent height is one of the few elements of the set up that every golfer can achieve, regardless of their ability. However, most players still simply stick their tee in the ground with little thought as to how it might affect the power and accuracy of their shots, whether it be with a driver or an iron.
As all Tour professionals and PGA coaches will testify, teeing the ball too low or too high can lead to pulls and pushes, while varying the height from shot to shot results in inconsistent strikes, lost distance, missed fairways and greens, and poor scoring.
Which is why the launch of Champ’s my MyHite FLYtee is such a godsend for golfers looking to gain more control over the shot making. An extension of the top-selling Zarma FLYTee range preferred by Tour players worldwide, MyHite tees feature a series of coloured bands around the stem that allow golfers to quickly and easily place the ball at a consistent height. This unique design maximizes consistency by helping ensure repeatable performance with every swing.
And with two different lengths of tee to choose from – 23/4 inches and 31/4 inches – golfers can ensure that they achieve maximum performance with every club in the bag. The face of the modern driver is so deep that golfers need to make sure they use a longer tee, so that the ball makes contact with the most power-efficient part of the clubface. Teeing the ball too low will result in cuts and fades, while having it too high can lead to pulls and hooks.
Champ’s MyHite FLYtees are constructed with the same technical innovations found in original Zarma FLYtee, such as the six-prong head and reinforcing ribs, Another boon to golfers is that the MyHite is made from environmentally-friendly materials and is fully biodegradable, making it a welcome option for players and greenkeepers too.
"The days of the wooden golf tee are numbered, as players and facilities turn in droves to the superior performance, durability and cost-effectiveness of performance tees," says Harris MacNeill, President and CEO of CHAMP/MacNeill Engineering Worldwide. "Our MyHite models are the new category leader and prove innovative, game-enhancing equipment doesn’t require players to make a large investment."
Champ MyHite FLYtees are available in packs of 40 2 ¾-inch tees and 30 3¼-inch tees, featuring red or blue-coloured bands RRP: approx £3.99, €4.99 per pack.
