Five-Star La Manga Club Ready to Host Football Legends
Posted by: Darren Ramowski on Thu 22 Mar 2012
Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones and Ipswich boss Paul Jewell lead the list of star names who will be heading to Spain’s La Manga Club this summer to take part in the 16th running of the Addison Lee Footballers’ Golf Classic.
The duo will be joined by the likes of Arsenal and Northern Ireland legend Pat Jennings, former Wimbledon and England goalkeeper Dave Beasant and ex-Everton and Scotland striker Graeme Sharp at the event from June 9-14.
A wealth of footballing talent including Alan McInally, Russell Osman, Gary Shaw, Chris Nicholl, Dave Bassett, Steve Bull, Paul Jones and Luther Blissett will also grace the fairways at the award-winning five-star venue.
And joining them in the line-up will be 2011 winner, former Millwall and Wales striker Steve Lovell, who edged out ex-Scotland ace and Sky Sports pundit McInally in a tight battle last year.
The event features four days of competitive golf: the one-day Alan Ball Trophy and the three-day main event, sponsored by London’s leading minicab company Addison Lee, with competitors playing alongside a different footballer each day.
Places in the event cost £1,398 per person and include five nights in the five-star Hotel La Manga Club Principe Felipe, breakfast, welcome and gala dinners and prize-giving with entertainment.
The luxurious setting of La Manga Club is the ideal venue for the competition with its three championship golf courses perfectly complemented by the rest of the resort’s wide-ranging facilities, including a 28-court tennis centre and 2,000sqm spa complex.
The Footballers’ Golf Classic is organised by Mancini Events. Fo further information please visit www.mancinievents.co.uk
