The ultimate golf experience is back for the 2012 Gtour Race to Cyprus. And once again golfers across the UK are set to compete in a unique event open to all golfers with the reward of playing in the Grand Final at Aphrodite Hills Resort, Cyprus.

The ‘Gtour Race to Cyrpus’ is the leading Amateur golf tour in the UK and unlike any other golf event in the UK is open to all golfers.  With handicap allowances of 28 for men and 36 for women, Order of Merit and no restriction on club or non club status the ‘Gtour Race to Cyprus’ provides a unique fun, social and competitive tour experience for every golfer.

2012 Schedule

Following renewed partnership with De Vere Venues, Bunker Mentality, Aegean Airlines, Aphrodite Hills and The Cyprus Tourism Organisation The Gtour - Race to Cyprus will see 100's of UK amateur golfers compete across 10 qualifying events between April and October 2012.

Together we have put together a format that can be enjoyed by players of all standards and provide a final that will inspire everybody who takes part to raise their games giving them the best possible chance to book their place at the UK Semi Final and of course a seat on that plane to Cyprus for the Grand Final.”

The tour starts in April 2012 at De Vere Carden Park on Saturday 21st followed by:

Golfshaker is 2011 Defending Gtour Race to Cyprus Champion

Golfshake member and 2011 Race to Cyprus Champion Colin Ainsworth said "After playing for years at a great club my work then meant I didn’t get many weekends off and so justifying a membership somewhere was impossible, being able to play in a competitive series of events which are well organized and with people who immediately made me feel welcome was great – The Gtour fitted the bill in every way." ​

Compete for Grand Final in Cyprus

Membership is free and players pay for the event only, with points awarded at each event counting towards the 2012 Order of Merit. Competing in at least 3 qualifying events around the UK the top 52 players will be invited to compete in the UK semi final in the Autumn at De Vere Belton Woods.

The 2 day semi final at De Vere Belton Woods will then see the top 9 players + the Order of Merit champion move forward to compete for the tour title with the Grand final being be played out at Aphrodite Hills in Cyprus in January 2013 with flights, accommodation and golf provided.
