Marking the first anniversary of Parklane Properties’ acquisition of Leeds Golf Centre, its superb new bar & restaurant – Nineteen Bar & Grill – has been launched this week with a drinks reception for the local business community.

Far from just a clubhouse the latest addition to Leeds Golf Centre’s impressive multi-million pound transformation, the Nineteen Bar & Grill is a fabulous destination restaurant for it's golf club members and visitors.

Boasting a newly-created menu featuring hand-crafted drinks, prime cuts of meat and fish, choice local ingredients and sumptuous home-made desserts, the new 100-seat restaurant offers an environment more typical of a city centre brasserie – complete with a vibrant atmosphere day or night.

An inviting lounge area features a fireplace and snug leather seating – perfect for morning coffee or afternoon tea – with two further zones designed for bistro-style ‘formal’ dining and a players’ lounge for those seeking light refreshments either pre or post golf.

Nineteen Bar & Grill’s operator, Ged Sugden, knows all about fine Yorkshire hospitality – he owns The Bingley Arms in Bardsey, just two miles from Leeds Golf Centre and officially the oldest pub in Britain: “It’s a special day for us – to own the oldest pub in Britain and now unveil Leeds’ newest bar/restaurant is really exciting. We’re delighted with the look and feel of Nineteen Bar & Grill and are extremely optimistic about its future – we expect to be very busy serving not just golf club visitors but those living in the local area too.”

Leigh Tasker, Business Development Manager at Parklane and Leeds Golf Centre, added: “The opening of Nineteen Bar & Grill marks a hugely important step in our investment at Leeds Golf Centre – not only does it coincide with our first anniversary of ownership, it very much completes the work we have undertaken to redefine the facility’s ‘indoor’ areas. When work is completed on our stunning redesign of the Wike Ridge championship course in April, the entire customer experience will be totally unrecognisable from that offered by its predecessor – we are thrilled that this latest announcement takes us one step closer to realising our vision of creating ‘The Home of Modern Golf’.”

Full daytime and evening service at the restaurant will commence on Thursday 16th February, with food served daily from 8am until 9pm.

To reserve a table or enquire about hosting an event at Nineteen Bar & Grill, please call General Manager, Charlotte Mills, on 0113 288 6160.
