GoKart Announces Automatic Upgrade
Following the successful launch of its new Automatic model, GoKart has responded to overwhelming demand from existing trolley owners with the launch of an upgrade programme.
Owners of the standard GoKart, which is renowned for its ease of use and award-winning British design, will be able to benefit from the latest technology without going to the expense of purchasing a new trolley.
The new Automatic option allows golfers to enjoy their rounds with no knobs: no longer do they have to adjust fiddly dials and switches to set the trolleys speed; now, simply hold the handle and start walking for it to match your pace perfectly.
Even upon letting go of the handle the GoKart will continue at the pace you set and to slow it down just hold it once more and reduce your speed.
The upgrade is available for just £88 (ROI €107) for a trolley supplied since August 1, 2010, or £139 (ROI €169) for those supplied before this date. These prices include all transport costs and VAT. The Automatic feature is proving so popular there is already a waiting list for GoKart owners wanting an upgrade, so those yet to do so should book soon in order to be ready for the new season.
Trolleys being upgraded must return to the factory, but, as part of the process, while there engineers will inspect every component of the GoKart and give it a complete service to ensure it leaves in top-notch condition. What’s more, all upgraded models will receive an extended two-year warranty.
Chris Catford, director of GoKart said: “Over the years we’ve built up a very loyal customer base of GoKart owners, and, since launching the Automatic, they’ve shown very strong interest in getting the new model.
“Rather than make them all fork out for a brand new trolley we thought we’d give them the option to have their existing trolley upgraded. It’s a bit of a thank you for buying their GoKart in the first place and sticking with us.
“As well as getting the new Automatic feature, trolleys coming in for an upgrade will be completely stripped down by our engineers and any showing signs of wear or that don’t have all the latest components will have the relevant parts renewed. And they’ll all get a brand new two-year guarantee.”
Weighing in at just 8.2kg GoKart is as easy to lift as it is to set up, with no fiddly catches to master: just slot the battery into the trolley frame and strap on your bag.
The powerful 230W motor can maintain a jogging pace if needed and comfortably takes the steepest of golf-course terrain in its stride, and, after a round, the trolley can be swiftly folded to fit in any boot, reducing to just 26x58x61cm.
GoKart customers also benefit from unrivalled customer service including a two-year warranty, a complimentary courtesy kart if yours is out of action, and a 28-day trial period, at the end of which a full refund can be obtained even if it was used every day.
The GoKart retails at just £244, with the Automatic feature available as an optional extra for a further £40.
