Electric Golf Trolleys
Posted by: Adam Smith on Wed 02 Nov 2011
Adding onto the feature I put together yesterday on push trolleys I thought today I’d have a look at the electric variety and boy there’s a lot to choose from. Different batteries, size, shape etc....
Now, again as an independent review here at Golfshake we’re not endorsing any of these products. The ones you see below are just the one’s I fancied putting up from different price range to different make and models. So enjoy, even if your favourite isn’t on the list doesn’t mean we don’t like it!
If you’re a manufacturer reading this and aren’t on the list then please send us a tester to see what we think!
Stewart Golf X7 Lithium Remote Control - £999
I love this trolley because it’s remote controlled! I had a go once and I could certainly see myself with one of these!
The new X7 differs visually from the X5 only by the badge on the back of the machine - the real differences are where you can't see them. The old lead-acid battery is replaced by a state of the art Lithium version which removes 8kg in weight whilst giving you more power and a much longer overall life (both the X7 and Lithium battery have a 2 year warranty).
Stewart Golf engineers have also further refined the electronics system to make the X7 Lithium run up to 30% more efficiently during a round of golf.
PowaKaddy Sport Electric EBS Lithium Battery - £729
Created from the latest lightweight and super strong materials, this marvellous PowaKaddy Sport Electric Golf Trolley EBS Lithium Battery has been brilliantly engineered and is powered with a quiet 200 watt motor, making it ideal for recreational and accomplished golfers. Easy to manoeuvre, this highly stable PowaKaddy Sport Electric Golf Trolley has a 3-way folding aluminium frame, allowing it to fit into the smallest of car boots.
As with the standard lithium battery, the EBS lithium battery on this PowaKaddy Sport Electric Golf Trolley weighs 75% less than traditional batteries, is stylish and high tech, but also comes with an Electronic Braking System. This progressive braking system counteracts the pull from the golf trolley by producing a resistive force when travelling downhill. There are 3 levels of progressive braking for altering gradients on the golf course.
This superb PowaKaddy Sport Lithium Electric Golf Trolley features an easy to use ambidextrous speed control, which shows the speed your golf trolley is moving, the life remaining in your battery, and allows you to send it 15, 30 or 45 yards towards the next hole on the golf course. This PowaKaddy electric golf trolley also accommodates all golf bag types with reduced golf bag twisting, and is amazingly easy to fold and store.
Motocaddy S3 Digital Electric Golf Trolley Lithium - £599
The excellent new S3 Digital 2010 Electric Golf Trolley is now available with a Lithium battery that will outlast any standard battery with just one charge. Making your golf game easier, knowing that even on the toughest terrain your battery isn’t going to let you down.
The S3 Digital trolley has been revamped for 2010. To get the trolley started simply twist the controller to the preferred speed and tap it. To stop the trolley simply tap it again it’s as easy as 1,2,3. Whilst the Trolley is mobile the display will show the metres or yards that you have already travelled and also display’s the speed that you are travelling at. There are three distance readouts to choose from, two of which you are able to reset after you have hit your golf shot.
The S3 will be able to measure the distance of each shot you’ve made so you can get an idea of how far you’re hitting each golf club. Once you have reached your golf ball you are also able to use your new S3 to pace out the yards/metres left to the nearest marker, so the hard work of working out your yardage is already done for you. All that’s left to do now is select you’re weapon of choice and hit your golf ball. The other new feature is a distance clock that the saves the complete distance that your S3 has travelled, it’s a bit like a mileage clock on a car.
