Your Golf Mission to a Lower Handicap
Posted by: Sarah Ramowski on Wed 01 Dec 2010
It's kind of an obvious hypothetical end result to make, focus your golf game and shoot lower but how many of us do this ?
Having just played a pretty decent round in fog focusing on not losing a ball and keeping on the short stuff you can see how hard we make this game with the bang and boom approach.
So we should all focus more right ? well this is what GolfMission aims to do providing the on course focus through challenge‐based games, played on the course alongside the usual Stableford or stroke‐play format. A simple idea that as been known to reduce handicaps by 9 shots in 3 months!
Having launched 12 months ago to critical acclaim GolfMission continues to push forward for innovation having recently launched an iPhone app and having won the Golf-Europe Product of the Year in the best training aid category in 2010, out of 68 products. The judges described it as 'Simple, yet clever', with the judges made up of industry leaders and PGA board members (including the president of the European PGA ).
And it really is that simple, focus on a goal, GolfMission challenge, and see how your game improves. When we tried it out it really got us focusing more on course management and making those challenges rather than thinking we were the next Westy or Poults and able to hit the par 5s in 2!
The packs can be purchased as a 4 pack for £8.99 including 4 cards with 6 individual challenges for your fourball or the gift pack at £19.99 containing 10 cards.
The iPhone app is based on the same award winning concept as the original game, GolfMission MatchPlay delivers 'serious fun'. Play it with a friend for an entertaining and competitive format, as a team game or a great knock out event. It is played as the sole format and challenges golfers with a mission on every hole and, however it's played, it keeps golfers totally focused throughout the round and brings all the benefits of the original game.
Further news will be released shortly but they have another on course game in the pipeline and look set to announce an national golf initiative very soon.
Finally exclusive to Golfshake members looking to improve their game or if you are looking for some different Christmas ideas for your golf buddies then we have a 10% discount. Quote DR 09 when ordering online to receive a 10% discount.
