Nominate Local Golf Heroes for The Golf Awards
The American Golf Grand Final is celebrating the amateur game by providing golfers from across the UK with the opportunity to compete in the final stage of its popular free tournaments. However, this year, joining the players, industry leaders and media will be the unsung heroes of golf whose commitment and hard work deserves recognition at The Golf Awards.
The Golf Awards will be presented at a sparkling Gala Dinner on the evening of Thursday 7th September at the Belfry. The full line up of Awards is yet to be announced, but nominations are now open for two of its categories. The Game Changer and PGA Professional of the Year awards will be given to people whose contribution to elevating the game at a local level is inspirational. The shortlisted people will be invited to the Gala Dinner at the Belfry on 7th September where the winners will be announced. As Daniel Gathercole, Director of Marketing and Communications at American Golf explains the Golf Awards promises to recognise the brands, people and places changing golf, “We know that there are hundreds of people who work tirelessly to support our sport and this is our chance to acknowledge and celebrate their contribution. We are looking for people and places who go that extra mile to share their love of the game or have taken a unique approach to delivering golf in an inclusive, fun way.”
Nominations for the Game Changer and PG Professional awards open today for two weeks via an online entry form available at www.americangolf.co.uk/golfawards An industry judging panel will choose the short list who will be invited to the Belfry. Voting for all categories will be open until 3rd September.
