The hotel recently set up a dedicated Ayurvedic medicine centre, with a team of naturopathic practitioners, yoga and meditation teachers as well as nutritionists who have created a programme specifically for European tastes using locally sourced herbs and spices. 

The Ayurveda Ladies Golf package offers rounds at the highly-regarded Golf Club Patriziale Ascona, a tree-lined parkland layout with direct access from Giardino Ascona’s gardens, and at the nearby 18-hole championship course at Golf Club Gerre Losone, as well as a personal check-up with respected golf physiotherapist, Cornelia Albrecht.

Also included are Ayurvedic treatments, yoga in the mornings and a specially-created half-board Ayurvedic menu that aims to improve the holistic well-being of guests. These elements are all part of the “Ayurveda by Giardino” programme, which aims to regenerate and strengthen the body through the Indian healing science of Ayurveda; it also teaches guests how to face life with a strong and conscientious mind, thus helping golfers to optimise their skills and mental approach out on the course.
