Sample Taste of Pro Tournament Golf on UK Amateur Tour

By: Golfshake Editor | Tue 10 Jan 2017

Golfers competing in Mizuno Golf Pairs Tour events across the UK this year, will have the opportunity to experience a small taste of what it's like to play in a professional tournament, thanks to an exciting partnership deal.

GDScore will be providing its live scoring system to the Mizuno Golf Pairs Tour for all of its events around the UK from this year. The Mizuno Golf Pairs Tour is fast establishing itself as a first class event for amateur golfers, providing friendly competitive golf at the UK’s top 100 courses.

GDScore’s live scoring system is simple, but highly effective. Players enter their scores on a hand held device and can see how their competitors are doing at the touch of a button. Leaderboards are shown live in the clubhouse and across social media.

Mizuno Golf Pairs Director Ross Forno said:  “We are very pleased to be working with GDScore at all our 2017 events. We ran a successful trial at Royal Cromer last year – and had people all over the country following the event live on social media. Our golfers really like the simplicity of the system and there’s a great buzz in the clubhouse as scores come in. We believe this partnership will take our already popular events to the next level.”

Ben Phillips, Director of GDScore, said: “We’re delighted with our partnership with the Mizuno Golf Pairs Tour. I’ve played in their events and know that GDScore makes a great set-up even better. We’ll be travelling the country with MGP in 2017. We’re really looking forward to working with them.”
