Learn how to take your practice to the course

By: Phillip Akers | Sat 24 Jun 2017 | Comments ()

Everyone can remember that one round you had when everything seemed to click, swing thoughts went out the window  and your golf became natural and smooth. It's the kind of feeling that makes you believe the game is simple and straightforward, but for most amateurs it is a feeling that is very rare and difficult to replicate week in week out.

Phillip Akers, a senior teaching professional at the Belfry believes that your practice technique and specific drills can help you achieve this feeling more often. His concept is simple and easy to practice and allows you to get into a rhythm before your round that will help you forget about technical thoughts and more about the natural movement of an effective golf swing.

By using the very simple three ball drill that is shown in the video, you immediately have forget all about the complexities of the golf swing and just focus on making contact with the ball. In doing this you instinctively make a more committed and natural golf swing specific to you, something that is desperately needed for any golfer when out on the golf course.
