Well done to our Brummy hero Rob Rock on putting it to the Tiger on the last day to win in style, other than on the 18th tee when I had my head in my hands when he let go with the chief!

In April 2007, I met this very pleasant young chap at Little Aston Golf Club where a junior golf competition was being held.  We had a nice chat about junior golf and how great it was to see so many youngsters about.  After several minutes he made his apologies because he was going out to play.  After he had gone, my then eleven year old son came over and said, "do you know who that was?".  My answer, "No idea".  The reply, "It's Robert Rock".

He really was a genuinely nice guy and I sincerely hope I have the chance to have a 'nice' chat with him again.

Well done Robert Rock.  Even if I didn't know who you were back then!

After Luke Donald doing so well last year, it's great to see another gentlemen winning a tournament.

C'mon you Brits show the guys the other side of the pond how to WIN!! Strength in depth.

I think the best decision he ever made was to stop getting his caddy to line his putts up for him & stand behind him to check he was in position before putting.

I was at the Dubai World Championship last November with my wife and young son (4 year old). On the way from 14th green to 15th tee on the 3rd day Rober Rock almost tripped over my little lad in his rush to get away...

Having a pint in the beer tent after the final day my my wife and I spot Robert enjoying a well earnt pint; we ask for an autograph on my cap and much to my wife's delight he says he remember us, or rather our little lad. But rather than a complaint about taking young kids around golf courses he said he thought he was a lovely little lad and how nice it was to see him enjoying watching the game.

A thoroughly nice bloke and a really well earned win.
