I enjoy playing in the wind but, rain, you can have it all to yourself, Bradley.

Would have to go with wind. I dont mind a rain shower, but trying to keep your grips dry in heavy rain, near impossible.

All a matter of degree really.  Last week we played in howling gales, they'd actually closed the Humber Bridge some 40 miles up the road and it was difficult.  280 yard drives with the wind behind you and 150 yard into it.  Didn't particularly like that, but it's got it's own challenge.  Rain I don't really mind until it starts dripping off your hat when you're putting..

Wind all day, makes you think! Rain just gets you wet!

Wind OR rain I will cope with, but put them together and I hate it.

I've always told myself that I don't like playing in the wind and that I'm not very good. However, played yesterday in perfect , calm, sunny conditions and scored 94. Last Saturday playing in a near hurricane I scored 84.  How do I explain that to myself?

Wind is ok as long as you're hitting it square, however a week last Sat I played at MoorAllerton and hit a near perfect drive and then a similar struck 3 wood and was still short on a 400 yd hole (my partners 'pencil' bag. travelled of its own accord when placed on the floor on a few occasions) but I can't do with the rain and wet grips.

I dont mind the rain. Objective is to keep your grips and glove dry then give yourself an extra half a club.

Wind can be very difficult if your not striking the ball clean. If its not your day, you'll have your most frustrating days in the wind

I'd rather play in rain than in windy conditions. At least in the rain I know my ball flight is of my own accord. When both are in play it's horrific. Although like Michael, I too for some reason play better in bad conditions...

As someone said above...I will take either on their own, however, not together.  There is a point where too much of either becomes a drag to play, but I won't stop playing, unless it literally becomes impossible to enjoy it!

I would of took either of them over the freezing conditions at Wychwood park today! Frozen tees & greens. Was still some decent golf played but it was a bit of a lottery.
