Top 100 under £30 - how many have you played ?

Based on feedback from the original Golfshake Top 100 golf courses we have set-up the following page showing the Top 100 golf courses under £30

This is obviously based on a guide price for the course from data we have for the midweek and weekend green fees.  It is fairly accurate but we are currently reviewing all the data and updating accordingly.

The guide price is therefore the maximum price a course charges ie summer/weekend fee to play the course.

Here is the under £30 top 100

amazingly its none for me !!!

Then again there are only 7 out of 100 in the south and 3 of them are in Devon & Dorset.

This cant be right !!

Nothing is Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire etc

Maybe just shows the cost of golf in the south east !!

I will have to check the price of some of the good courses in South that i have played and then leave reviews.

Only three for me, but I loved playing each one of them. I am pleased to see Manor House at the top, because that is one excellent place to play. Just remember to take oxygen if you're walking it

Manor House at Castle Coombe, Hennerton, and Moffat.

I am a little surprised at seeing Hennerton in the top 100 though. Not because it's not a great little course, but just that I would have imagined better ones out there for under £30

Just the one for me - Lakeside Lodge.  Nice set-up they have there with a full 18 hole course, a 9 hole course, another small six hole course, a par 3 pitch and putt course and a driving range.  They also have a two lane bowling alley, do really nice food and have lodges for golf breaks.  If you are ever passing then I would recommend having a go on the 18 hole course.  The two or three times I have played it the course has been in excellent condition.

Better start on the other 99 now!

So Darren, what are the price restrictions for the top 100 under 30 ?

Can the courses can be on offer under 30, ie twighlight, tee times, 2 for one etc ?

4 for me but in this current climate I've stopped visiting other courses & stuck to my home course to save some cash.

Most of the time it's not the green fee that puts me off it's the fuel getting there & back.

Tim it's based on the max price we have listed for midweek or weekend but for a round only and not a day, likely to also be summer rate. So arguably there are courses not listed that you could get for say £28 but they may have a full price of £35 and thus the course believes that the maximum value is £35 and are omitted from the list.

Only one for me

Owston Park GC

Played there just after it opened, the greens were very poor, but that was because they had not been open long!

8 of the under £30 and 12 of the under £50 for me.

Must have been a really strong wind last week, it's blown Kirbymoorside into East Yorkshire from North Yorks.

I cant believe its a big fat zero for me off both lists

And i have played approx 35 different courses in the last 18 months

but then looking through the list the south east corner has been forgotten

looking at everyones lists its hard to see where the top 100 lists came from as regular posters on here are not playing them so who has and left a review
