Just wondered what everyones choice for mid range snacks and drinks are?

Ive not got a set snack at the mo, and sometimes dont bother but do tend to stick to the still lucozade sports drinks.

I stocked up on the still lucozade a while ago  - they had a websites 1st birthday offer and I got 75% off so got over £70 worth for £18  - now have a fridge full of lucozade in my garage!

Still unsure of the food to go with, sometimes i'll go with a chocolate bar, sometimes bananas - looking for some inspiration to come up with somet;0hing thats hopefully tasty, nutritonal and energy releasing. Or just a very tasty chocolate bar  - am partial to Bountys!

Flapjacks or cereal bars go down pretty well along with a banana. I'm with you on the still Lucozade Sport for a drink, got a bit of an addiction at the moment.

Lucozade sport is drink of choice, but 7-Up/Sprite if not.  Flapjack if I can get hold of one (fruit ones are the best) or a kitkat.  Maltesers or wine gums are a good alternative.

Beware of opening flapjacks when there's wildlife about, as my wife found out at the Forest of Arden.  Walking round with me for the fresh air, she decided she would nick some of my flapjack when stood too close to the resident deer.  On hearing the wrapper, lots of heads popped up meerkat style and noses went in the air.  They smelt the oaty goodness and decided to come and investigate.  The wife was slowly surrounded by deer while I looked on safely from the green laughing at her.  Her only defence was to throw a few small bits af flajack over their heads and make a break for it while they were distracted!

jaffa cakes, flapjack and Honey & marmite sarnie, a couple of chocolate biscuits.

lucozade drink and a water drink, i always take a mouthful of water after i have a mouthful of lucozade.

in hot weather i always put the drinks in the freezer for a couple of hours to be as cold as possible without being frozen solid-just a bit frozen, keeps the chocolate from melting..

The Tiger Sandwich, peanut butter and jelly (jam in english). I know it sound a bit American and silly but it is the best thing to have. Jam gives quick energy release and the peaut butter gives slow energy release they really are the best thing you can have carbs, sugaer and protiens everythig you need to play golf.

Chocolate biscuits are the same thing chocolate gives quick release and the wholegrain biscuit gives slower release energy.

I usually opt for the choccy biscuits and bananas with an electrolyte drink, I want the drink for hydration not energy like a lucozade is for.

Whatever drink I can get and whatever I can get to eat.

No real choice, but I did once say to the wife, "On a Friday get some bananas from work so I've got some to take to golf with me".  Result, not seen a banana in weeks!
