You know it's been coming and now is the time to have your say on who you would pick but we also want to know why.

So you are Captain Colin, sitting with the media glare upon you once again at the plush Gleneagles Hotel Sunday night.

Here's my picks:

Luke Donald - Made more of an effort to gain points on the European Circuit out of the Four who play most on the PGA Tour. A very succesful spell it was too. A first, second and third in three weeks is a incredible level on consistancy. The third place was at Celtic Manor too. He may not be the longest of hitters but he is incredibly straight and holes vital putts when needed which is a must for the Ryder Cup. Excellent foursomes partner.

Paul Casey - Not the greatest of season for Casey in terms of wins and finishes but the reason he is in is his excellent MatchPlay record which in my opinion you either have or haven't. He is long and his Iron play when on his day rivals the best. The ability to score very low when hot, comes into the occasion also.

Edoardo Molinari - Maybe a shock for some but this guy has to be in the team for me. Here's why: A win at Loch Lomond, top-five finish at the Welsh Open at CM, all cuts made in majors this season, in the world's top 25, 6th on the world points list, will be at Gleneagles which was Monty's wish, and not forgetting a win at the World Cup with his Brother who is on the team and an automatic fourball and foursome's partnership. Need I say more.

Will be interesting to see who you will go for?

I would agree with Casey and Donald - but rather have Justin Rose as the 3rd.

I think he has more experience, and knows the other team members better.

I'm a bit pissed off at Paul Casey actually.

His interview after the PGA Championship was telling. He's good enough to be in Europe's top 4/5 players yet chased the money on the FedEx cup playoffs. I suppose I admire his honesty, but I think his priorities are all wrong. Surely he's made for life in terms of cash already. Helping a triumphant European team in the Ryder cup is worth far more than an extra few million in the bank?

Miguel Angel Jimenez, if he doesn't qualify automatically, should be picked simply because he plays week-in-week-out on the European tour and finishes strongly on a regular basis.

I think I can't pick anyone until I know who's there.

Will Westwood be fit?

Who will be my first 9?

Need to think about pairings too. Give me until Monday, after Gleneagles.

I think Justin has made his intentions clear by saying he's not playing in the Johnny Walker as he is more focused on winning the FedEx (he's 3rd I think).

I suppose if he wins the £10mill prize fund will be enough to avoid the disappointment of missing out on the Ryder Cup

I say ditch all the money chasers and go with the players that want to be there. If they can't be bothered to quality then they shouldn't expect to get picked regardless. The top 12 europeans would be plenty good enough to beat the Americans and they should be given a chance. Maybe harsh, but there you go!.

I agree with Daniel, there's enough talent over here to beat the Americans. Harrington has scored 1 point in the last 2 Ryder cups for goodness sake and Casey is a whinging brat with more than enough cash in the bank. Rose has a case for staying away as he is in with a chance of winning in the States, and is the only one I would consider for the team, purely on the basis that he would pair up well with Poulter.

Over here, pick any of Molinari, Jimenez, Quiros and Langer. Remember this is match play so different qualities count as compared to those used in the regular events.

If Montgomery picks mainly from the stay aways, then his credibility is shot even more, and the message comes over loud and clear that you don't really have to take notice of what the captain desires.

If I was in Monty's shoes this morning.

In would be Eduardo Molinari to play with his brother in the Fourball and Foursomes.

Jimenez and Donald have both done enough for their Captain so should be In. This makes Donald a PICK.

Then I would bring in Casey as a partner for Poulter.

Sorry for both Harrington & Rose who would miss out, but I would have Harrington as 13th Man (depending on Westwoods fitness). Justin plays in the US full time now and the Match is in Wales and when he does come to the UK he hasn't done too well recently.
