Us non-Notts. residents are people with feelings too. (We also like greetings.)

Some of us are now hurting, but we'll try not to let it show.

Some of us are now feeling a tad better, but it will take a little time for the scars to heal. Not that we were really hurt you understand? Sniff.

Don't apologise about upsetting sanders Jonathan, he's only pining for the East Mids because he's been exiled!

Tim,

I'm not exiled (Northants. is located within the E. Midlands) but simply dodging bearded infiltrator terrorists  - based in the northern region mountains - with suspicious smiles.

Tim,

I have it on good authority that, even using a disabled/  handicap card,  you should be playing off 8.

I'm not a member of a club Jonathan, prefer being a golf tart - there are a lot of us on here but possibly not as many as full club members.  I play anywhere I can reasonably make (did Woodbury Park near Exeter from Derby and also managed a round at the Carrick on Loch Lomond as day trips!) and have got about 8 rounds a month in so far this year.  I'm just addicted to playing new courses I suppose..

However, as you're in this area and fancy some regular games (especially through the winter) on some pretty decent courses I'd recommend dropping over to the County Golf League site (which runs in conjunction with Golfshake really), get registered and join us.  Good bunch of guys, all levels of golfers and some pretty fierce competition (in a good way).  We play league games as well as a strokeplay and matchplay comps and, failing that someone usually comes up with game offers at ridiculously low prices.  Have a look  http://countygolfleague.com/node/46
