Russ Middleton is a Golfshake.com forum moderator and organises the Priors Golf League .  He also led the way in number of rounds tracked on Golfshake in 2009 with well over 150!

David Roth is a regular Golfshake and Gtour player and is currently doing pretty well in the 2010 Gtour.   He didn't quite beat his regular playing partner Russ Middleton but David also racked up over 150 rounds on Golfshake during 2009!

How does he find the time to have a job or a life playing that many rounds in a year? Not even the Tour Pros play that many times in a season.

I'm sure he'll say he doesn't play enough golf.

It has been rumoured that he works a late shift so he can get up around 10am and tee off at 11am, and still get eighteen holes in before work!

What I cannot understand is the fact that he's a 12 handicap what with playing so much.

playing rounds of golf does mean your handicap will come down, i feel being on a driving range and putting green for 2 hours will do more for your game than 18 holes,

but playing that many rounds will be good for his course management tho

Actually Ross it's better to play 18 holes than restrict yourself in a range, you can't manufacture shots in a range that the lies and slopes of a course will give you, also it's harder to concentrate and focus when the scenery is exactly the same for every shot.

Won't argue against the putting comment as any training on that will help you improve (as long as you know what your doing to get the best from it).
