Hi guys thanks for your questions and comments. I was a member at dewstow golf course, Caldicot 2 years ago but with over 7, 18 hole courses and 2, 9 hole courses within a 20 minute drive and work commitments all over the uk I find it more convenient to be membership free.

I was torn between renting the house and just enjoying the ryder cup. The disruption to my family including a newborn, Moving all our personal belongings into storage, moving in with the in-laws, 3 weeks off work and the clean up is difficult to put a price on.

However the ryder cup will only be in my back yard once in my life time so nothing ventured, nothing gained. Two properties i no about have been let out for £45,000 and £30,000 7 day accomm only situated 40 minutes away from the course. I feel what I am asking is about right but I am new to it so who knows!

Nathen,three weeks with the in-laws your not charging enough seriously though good luck, I think what your offering will go down welll with the Americans/others as that's the type of service they expect.I have heard or the type of prices you mentioned and I think there is one with a  similar price if not more in Christchurch.Let us know how you get on.
