i have a bit of a dilema going on in my head as to wether im good enough to play these irons?? i currently play off 26 but used to play off 12 20 years ago and im getting back into the swing of things and its only my short game thats letting me down and stopping me from getting back into the high teens again! i currently play mx 200's which are a pleasure to play with but im unfortunatley a tackle tart and for some reason believe that the better the product the better ill play. i purchased an mp60 6 iron off ebay just for playing around with but have no problem at the range with this iron and find the feedback and feel is superb! i do have the odd shudder rom the club every 10 hits or so but really fancy an mp iron for pure looks and playabillity. Anyone feedback from anyone playing these irons or similar would be very welcome. many thanks shane |

Of course you are good enough to play these clubs, why shouldn't you be. A club is a club is a club.

I think you have answered your own question Shane, to me feedback is everything you hit them well there's nothing like it and when you don't they let you know. It is far more rewarding than hitting mundane shots that you can't shape with these oversize perimeter weighted gimicky clubs, they just don't tell you if you stricking well or more importantly badly.IMO. I say fill your boots, but make sure you get fitted correctly. Good Luck. |

Shane, I bought an MP52 6 iron, I think they are one of the best looking clubs made. The first shot I hit felt like i had been smashed over the knuckles, the second shot felt like a knife through butter, lovely. At the moment i'm sticking to hitting mundane shots that I can't shape with my oversized gimicky R7 XD's! (Thanks Dave) If I improve as well as I hope in the next 12 months may be santo santa will bring me a set. |

Dave, When you can hit the ball as far as you do you don't need to worry about shaping shots you just need to get that 'Not Lucky Putter' working! |

Shane, I'm new to the game (Sept'09) and I'm playing with used MP32's, I got these not because I'm a wannabe pro....I just got a good deal on them. I'm no where near skillfull enough to get the best out of them - but I also don't think that they are hampering my enjoyment or ability to play. One thing I'm sure of though is that I will grow with them and I like them so much I bought a brand new second set (again a VERY good deal) to use when some of the clubs start wearing too much as they are no longer made of course. So I'm set for years in the iron department. So long story short...if you like playing them, go for it - when you find an iron that you like, there is no need to keep changing just to buy the next new thing....unless you have more money than sense. As the guys on here will tell you.....if your swing ain't working.....it ain't your club! |

Shane, your accuracy did not improve overnight just becaue of these clubs, the stiff shaft is what has produced the accuracy yet I doubt you needed the change. Too many players are playing with stiff shafts just because of the accuracy, when in actual fact they would be better off using regular shafts and learning to swing properly. |

Thanks for all your input, ive purchased a set of mp52's with s300 shafts. compared to the mx 200's they are in another class looks wise, they are as easy to hit as the mx 200's and im not sure if its the shaft change from regular to stiff but im now hitting them consistantly straight and distances are very accurate. I would highly reccomend these to anyone considering buying a set but are afraid thinking they're hcp is not good enough to play them, i play off 26 and have a fairly consistant swing and out of 100 range balls i thinned 1, they are fairly forgiving and the long irons are just as easy to hit as my original mx 100's. hope this helps any one considering buying some and thanks for your input in the earlier messages. Thanks Shane. |

I think you should delete the last two posts, Shane, as they are identical to your post at 0910 hrs. |
