A good mate of mine uses them and they have helped him a great deal. Worth a look at the right price.

» SuperFast technology includes light and long shafts and light grips to promote increased swing speed and distance

» Large clubface with Inverted Cone Technology for increased COR over a larger portion of the clubface

» Advanced perimeter weighting for extremely high MOI and forgiveness

» Wide and beveled multi-functional sole for low, deep CG and enhanced playability

» Vibration management cavity badge for a satisfying sound and solid feel

Oh dear, oh dear.  TLA overload or what?

I've been looking for new irons too. Spent a lot of time trying them out . For me it came down to Cobra S2 UFi's or the Burner Plus. Close call but went with the Burner plus - felt good for me and % of decent shots better than others. Took the plunge yesterday and been down at the range today - so far so good. I w ent with the 4 rescue instead of 4 iron . What are you thinking of getting? Hope they help me bring down the h- cap. If you get  them , I'd be interested  how you get on with them.

Hi John

The golf shop i looked at was just 4 iron up to pw custom fitted for £360 but i have looked on the net and can get a lob wedge thrown in for about the same price but the custom fitting is done by giving them your measurements unlike the shop where i can be there and know its being done correctly.

Hope you dont mind me asking is that about the price you paid for you irons?

Cheers Jason.

No problem  - Jason

 - I was quoted £380 for 4 iron to SW - I wanted a rescue 4 (approx £100) instead of 4i. So i finished with 4 rescue to SW for £420. I got them from  American Golf Trafford Park in the end. They have a range there so could give them a good try out.

The process of choosing has taken me  a couple of months - I got fed up and a bit confused with sales hype and technicalities - had a fitting, tried lots and then choose the ones that felt best.

Good Luck John

i bought the burner plus irons in september and i love them tbh. i feel like im gonna hit it well when i feel the club in my hand and more often than i used to, hit it well is what ill do. would say if you are a low handicapper you would want something more designed for that standard of player but for a mid to high handicapper the burner plus are sweet

My Dad switched from the Mx-15s to the Taylor Made Burners recently.  After a few weeks of frustration he is now playing the MX-15s again.

A switch from Mizuno to Taylormade is not a good choice. I did it the other way round! I can't see me buying a cast club ever again.
