A bit of fun for you guys out there - the idea is whoever logs on and feels so inclined adds the next line to this 'golfing poem/song' and each line thereafter accordingly after each contribution as they come in

and so the first line is

Today I parred that first tough hole !

(I should really stop logging onto this site after a few Stellas but hey it's a bit of fun yes ? - I expect Darren to contribute at least one line to this process)

so come on guys what follow after "Today I parred that first tough hole"

I thought after mentioning Stella the next line was obvious!

I was a bit worried about a word beginning with N though and how tasteful it would all become

Remember the score card but i'll forget my pen

I'll tee up the ball and give it a whack

Now i wish I could have that shot back

I should have swung, and hit it with ease

now the damn ball has gone in the trees

Guys - I am humbled by all your contributions and feel really good about the fact

that perhaps I have hit upon involvement far beyond my expectations ! but hey if you are still having fun with this one then carry on by all means !

I will pay my occasional visit just to see how far this one goes ! - but there will be a limit to all of this ? Surely !

Playing a game, my wife hates!
