Well, played over at one of the Crown network courses today (Blue Mountain) expecting to play okay as I have been on a bit of a run lately.

Turns out that I was to have the best game of golf in my life (which is very short in golfing terms ).

I shot a 79 which is the first time I have shot below 80. I had at least 6 birdie putts (which I all missed by a whisker apart from the 18th).

My handicap has been plummitting over the past two weeks and this is after a (relatively) long break due to issues in my personal life! Hope I can keep this up somewhat however now I dont get a shot on the 3 'easiest' holes of a course Im starting to think it may get more difficult from here on in.

Your handicap is only dropping as you are playing to your full potential. You will probably find a plateau where your scores will level out for a while, but there is no reason why you shouldn't keep steadily moving towards single figures.

Considering where you were at 12 months ago, you give all us other high handicappers hope and inspiration.

Well, I honestly believe that the mixture of John P input and the different the different thinking out on the course is what has done it!
