Wow! Not only have I just discovered that it's "World Left-Handers Day" on the 13th August (which in a bizarre coincidental fashion is also my youngest's birthday - another lefty) but also we now have our very on golf shirt!

Something to do with "reducing drag on the right shoulder...........". Anyone going to buy one and join the celebrations with me??? Edit: It comes with a left-handed cap!!!

I should point out that I'm only a quasi-left hander - right handedness does come out in everything bar baseball, cricket, and our favourite game.

David, those three sports are hard enough without doing them backwards!  Has anyone ever come up with a credible explanation of how some right handers find left-handed orientation easier (eg Trescothick in cricket)?

It is indeed strange Martin.

I play lots of raquet sports and in all of them I play right handed. I think it has something to do with the physical act of swinging your body. I'm left footed and perhaps that's where it starts. Also, anything that needs two hands means I'm left handed, so cricket, hockey and golf are all left for me.

What about the other lefties on here? Are you all left, or like me, a little mixed up?

Dave, you can't play hockey left handed, unless you mean ice hockey. They only do right handed hockey sticks as it would be too dangerous!!

Oh and im a true left hander, other than using scissors and a computer mouse - weird!!!

Dave, call yourself a true lefty pfft.

I use my left hand for everything, including a mouse & scissors

Dave, I'm the opposite to you. I'm left-handed for most things - writing, throwing, computer mouse, and raquet/ bat sports with a single-handed grip. Anything with a double-handed grip, I'm right-handed - golf, cricket, etc. Maybe that's why I don't feel that I get much power in my shots, as most of my power is in the wrong arm?

Mind you, I'd give my right arm to be ambidexterous!
