Setanta Golf Is Gone!

So Setanta have bit the dust and that leaves me with no Setanta Golf channel!

I know I could get Sky Sports and watch the odd bit of golf they put on but it was so nice having a channel dedicated to golf.

Even though most of the time it was repeats of what they had shown the day before.

Is the Golf Channel still avaiable?

Russ,

All the channels have been bid & bought by other companies. I think Disney's ESPN channel have got a majority of them.

Watch this space.

ESPN have taken on the Premier League football games that Setanta had so I would guess that they will be interested in whatever else is left as well.  I have Sky and enjoy watching the European Tour and all the Majors are shown on Sky as well but I did like having Setanta for the PGA Tour, as well as the football.  I guess it will save me £12.99 a month for now (although they only took a payment five days ago).  Let's see what happens - I want the Golf Channel back already!

Gutted, hopefully someone will buy up the golf parts.  Especially gutted as I had it for free with the VirginMedia TV package

I too had Setanta with my Virgin Media package.

Really only watched the golf with the odd football game thrown in.

The problem with Sky is that I'm normally playing golf when the European Tour is on TV.  That's why I used to like watching the PGA Tour, it was live.

The golf channel would be good, it used to be on Sky when I first had it then it went off and I've never seen it again!

Looks like Eurosport has picked up the rights to televise the US PGA tour...

Thanks for the advice Dave, I'll look on their site.

I've been having a look at the schedule for Eurosport and I've yet to find any golf, are they showing it?

Pass. All I know is that it's been on for past 2 weeks and they keep saying it's all season long.

As far as I have heard it is only the US PGA golf that Eurosport has secured for the rest of this season.
