I don't know how many amateur golfers buy clothing that is made specifically for golfers but I think there are some really nice additions that can be made to the wardrobe. Unfortunately the price tags in the clubhouse or specialist golf shops are pretty hefty.  I have bought things from the net which I thought were good value but then you never know what size the product is actually going to be i.e. I bought an XXL top which should have been plenty big enough but actually ended up as a perfect fit for my mate who is about five inches shorter and six or seven stone lighter.

Can anyone recommend a site / shop that provides decent golf clothing at a decent price?

Clearence lines at Direct Golf.

Find a make that you know the sizes and stick to them, XXL in Ashworth is bigger that the other makes DG sell.

I agree David, I generally get XL for most tops, Ashworth, Cutter & Buck, Kartel, Ping etc;  but for the Greg Norman collection & Callaway I only need a Large

most branches of TK Maxx now sell callaway, ping, nike and many other brands, I recently picked up 2 ping shirts from there and obviously you can try them on to make sure they fit.

Every three months or so my pro has a 'Sale', so I wait until then and buy my stuff then.

Otherewise it's Matalan, Primark, or SportsWorld.

I'm not a 'Brand' person, a polo shirt is a polo shirt to me!
