Just to let you all know I will be looking at the venue for next years event a week this Saturday with some others, I can tell you the date for this event is the 19th April 2010 with the 18th being the stay over night, so get it in your diaries now.

Full details of the venue will follow after that, suffice to say it is pretty central!!!! I mean even David Marshall from Bournemouth can get there in less than 3 hours so not too far for most, and it has a small hotel attached to it so the more that stay over we could be the only ones there

If you haven't registered already then click the link above there are only 40 places per team and all deposits and balances will be completed by 31st January 2010.

Just over a week to wait for it to revealed Neil

I will say it's been highly rated and subject to a majority approval will be the venue for every year thereafter.

It has rarely and I mean rarely had any temporary greens or tees over the last few winters and in fact the greens are consider to be quite quick.

If you reckon it will take me around 3 hours to get there, then it must be in Dorset

Are 'The Others' qualified enough to give an opinion as to whether this course will be suitable?

You say it will take me less than 3 hours to get there. It must be The Algarve then. Whooopppieeeeeeee

They've haven't told me not to play, it's just my decision to assist in getting myself back to normality and not create any more stress on the right knee at the moment.

I have an appointment with an occupational therapist this friday (courtesy of work, ) and hope that when a physio starts to get more movement in my knee I can get back to work (and earn instead of just getting SSP) and hopefully play a bit as well.

The trainer idea is one I've thought about for a couple of years to assist in getting me abroad and out of this country before I end up buried in it.

Go for it Wayne.

I like you want out of this country, but the wife won't leave until her mother passes on, so for now i'm stuck here. The U.K. is no place to bring up children anymore IMO, Take Today for instance. My step-son Adam is 11yr and has been bullied for 6 months a secondary school, I've been in countless times and still it goes on. Over the weekend Adam got word that the bullies we're going to "get him" on the way to school (13 in total) so i go with him on the bus and sit at the back out of the way. I watch this kids walk up to Adam on punch him!!! So i have a "quite little word" in his ear and go in the school. The School Say's tell the Police & the Police say tell the school??? Just another example of U.K. going down the pan. To guarantee Adam safety at school he is now in segregation???

Sorry for going of  topic.

I have two words for you Paul.

Press charges.

The busses all have video on them so you have evidence to prove it and it's the only way anything will get done.

I know how you feel mate.

Anyway back to the Venue, weather signs are that it looks like there might be a couple of showers on saturday but I'm not worried about that

Looking forward to seeing the place because there have been some very good reviews and I like the fact the greens & tees are well built, which keeps it operating at a good level in all types of weather

Can't wait to report back Monday with all the details, and there are 47 players down already for this event so only another 33 to go and it's closed.
