The sad thing about this incident is that if the man attacked with the 8 iron had been the one doing the attacking then the newspaper report would have called it a racist incident, as the the guilty man in this case was a black man.

Earlier this year whilst at work one Sunday Morning, I had two members get into a full on Kung Fu Fight whilst out on the course. It started over a Rabbit Scrape of all things. One guy took rather a generous amount of relief from a scrape, his playing partner caught him pulled him up on it and tried to correct him, however he kicked off and launched into a Kung Fu Attack on the guy trying to correct him. They scuffled for several minutes before the playing partner managed to get away from the Kung Fu Expert and get a club or something in his hands and then fend off the Kung Fu Guy until he grabbed his clubs and stormed off the course.

What a world indeed!

Nothing is so important that you need to fight over it, let alone a round of golf. If its a social round then theres no need to get hung up too much on taking relief from hazards etc. Its not going to affect your handicap at the end of the day.

even when it is a medal or other round that affects your handicap theres still no need to be agressive....mind you i suppose its just another said inditement of how our society is degrading....
