Im Rob, 38 years old. Started playing recently after a 19 year break. I was a promising junior but I got to that age where cars, beer & girls (no particular order) kinda pushed golf out of it. Joined Bigbury in south devon last summer & got my handicap in November. Just got a new G10 & got putter working again so Im hoping the handicap will come down in the next few months.

Hi Rob,

Glad you have got back into it.

i myself found Girls, Beer, Cars, Girls, Girls and Beer. But I hadnt taken up the game. in hindsight should have taken it up sooner.

Nice to have you on board. Bigbury. went on holiday there as a kid. Do they still have that weird vehicle on the beach?

Welcome to the site Robert.

19yrs is certainly a lengthy lay off, but I'm sure you will soon get back into the swing of things

We've had a few holidays at the caravan park at Challaborough.  The tractor was there when I last looked!

The tractor is still there........For those of you wondering why we have a silly tractor on the beach, its to cross the beach to Burgh island on hide tide....I prob stumbled in to a few of you in the past, had a few wild nights in Challaborough in my younger days
