I tried entering score for back 9 only but the system said there is an error and and I need to complete the front 9.

Note: I only played the back nine.

Is there a way to enter just the back 9 -

regards

Not sure you can really - is there a way to enter a new scorecard (just the back / front 9)?

Why would you wish to enter it when it counts for nothing in respect of handicap.

Thanks John,

Thought I read somewhere on the site that 9 holes would contribute to the handicap ratings.

If that is the case then golf is going even further backwards than I thought.

Ian, Troy is correct.  You need to create a course for the club and call Front 9 or Back 9 and then add the 9 holes only for the score card and data for the score card.

For the handicap question.  Here on golfshake I do not track handicaps for 9 holes only nor do we plan to do this.    Technically though you can now have 9 hole rounds sanctioned by golf clubs and golf clubs are able to use 9 hole round data for handicap calculation, this was a ruling that came into effect last year.

John, the game is definitely going downhill!

Why should a 9hole round count towards handicap The majority of calculations on here already skirt around the issue of rounds entered ot being official comps!
