All I can say is Putting is a very personal part of the game. I popped into Nevada Bobs in Broadgate Circle in London. Tried about 20 or 30 and knew instinctivley when I picked up the one I eventualy bought. Odessey XG #9 (like lefty Phils) there are so many designs out there that I tried them with my eyes closed, if it felt good then I looked to see if I could get on with it. |

Peter. Titleist Scotty Cameron all the way. Best darn putter I have ever had. I went off the boil with it a bit, recently. But have discovered what I was doing wrong. Now it's deadly again |

I would suggest trying as many putters as you can, and then get the one that you like the most. Don't worry about the maker's name or the price, if it's the right putter for you then it's the right putter! Try and test them out on a proper green, not on astroturf! Russ |

No putter is going to eradicate that kind of fault, Peter. |

Peter, as John says, you better sort out your action before you do anything. Once you've got a smooth action I'd take Simon's and Russel's advice

You could be playing with a putter that is too long for your stance/stroke Peter. Try a couple in a shorter shaft length and see if this solves the issue. As regards which putter to get, first narrow it down to whether you want and inserted face or not (what do you prefer the feel of). Then decide whther you prefer mallet, blade or semi-blade. Then when you have narrowed the field, try as many as you can that fit in your window and get the one that feels best. |

hitting the floor is not the putter, its you. you have to get a VERY grooved putter stroke to be consistant. You will hit the floor with any putter you get. Sort your stroke out and youll be ok.

Have to agree with most of the comments above - no matter how expensive, or branded or what pro uses a similar putter if you've got a basic fault like clipping the ground that needs to be sorted first. I won't bother trying to describe how I mamage to putt as I know nothing with my £15 Ram Zebra - suffice to say that I rarely get more than two 3 putts per round - and have only 4 putted 3 times since I've been keeping stats. |

Just because a putter has been named on here does not mean you'll like it. Try them yourself and go for one you like, not name or price. Oh and that putting stroke has to be sorted 1st |
