Every round. If any body can suggest anything please drop me a line Thanks Andy

Hello Andy I take it you're not a member of a club as you could enter their comps, there are a good few comps coming up on here soon and I can recommend the winter/ summer league, some good courses and not too far away from you in Cleveland

I think joining a club is really the best way - may struggle otherwise.

Hi Andy,

I agree with Dennis, best way is to join a club and get into playing as many club comps as possible. This will help with the the fact you will be playing regular golf with better players and it will all be in a competitive atmosphere so you will be 'battle hardened' if you like when it comes to playing under pressure in non club events playing with people you don't know and therefore you can't help but improve.

I joined my local club 2 years ago, I couldn't break 100 shots in a round. I didn't know anybody else at the club but you get to know a lot of people very quickly. I was allotted a hcap of 25 at the very beginning.

The idea of joining a club to gain competition games is a very valid point, Thats what I did and look forward to our medals etc.

However, if you want to remain a golfing nomad then the society route may suit you better - I joined one of those as well but I am a bit of a competition tart - Just ask my partner Tony above.

But Andy, what ever you decide, do have a look at the three counties winter leaque - very well organised, cracking courses and a great bunch of lads.....

I see you play Norton.Me and Tony are members at Knotty Hill Sedgefield but we have played Norton.

My first ever round was at Middlesbrough muni as I live only a couple of miles from there.
