I will continue to observe and advise as I have done so from the comfort of my retirement couch for the benefit of "my guys" here at 'Home Base'

If that helps you by you helping me .... then that is as far as I am concerned an ideal arrangement !

I'm always happy to help out, and at the moment I've got the time to do it!

I have put this in another thread to but want to make sure this is seen (even if not able to implement it):

You know what would be really cool? An automatic pop up / PM when somebody organises a game / event in an area that the user can define.

EG. If I put in the system that I am willing to travel 50 miles, any games organised within that radius will notify me automatically......

Leslie,

I currently use 'Wireless 18' to keep score on the course. I then manually put in the data here.

If golfshake was able to utilise that system to enable me to upload my card automatically to Golfshake, that would be really cool.

If not, perhaps Golfshake could develop something similar for this purpose ?

As for my wants re. Mobile Application:

1. Golf Course Searching (as in scorecards - like Wireless 18)

2. Ability to upload data direct to Golfshake

3. Advanced stats (FIR, GIR, No of Putts) - I dont use this at the moment but will be in the near future.

4. Storing of Golf Club info as contact would be cool.

Everything else is just a bit gimmicky in my opinion and I wouldnt use it.

I'd like to be able to reply or post to forums/PM's via a mobile phone, currently the Java plugin (TINYMCE) does not work on my Nokia N95.

John.

Darren,

is there anyway to add an 'onmouseover' event to the links shown in the actvie links area so that you can tell who the last person to post was, rather than having to keep going to 'active posts' to see if a new post has been added??

John.

John, possibly but would be a lot of work as the hover over would have to do a 'live' remote call to check for updates.

I presume you know the active posts link does show the last post and who by so you can refresh this page ?

yeah but if you post in a thread but want to quickly check if any other threads have been updated it would be nice to 'glance' over to the right.

don't want to cause you too much work

Possible in the long term but hopefully the API will provide the gateway for 3rd party developers to create their own apps that plug in.

Regards, Darren.

Any mobile/application developers feel free to get in touch with any feedback on apps etc.  We do have a API but currently private and restricted to selective partners.

Dan, feel free to email me direct any suggestions.

I see this post is quite old now. Is there an Ap for the iPhone or iTouch yet? I really like what golfshake as to offer but if it can't do this I'm gonna be forced to look for other sites.
