Rick,

I'm not exactly like the avatar as I've put a little weight on lately and I have shortened my first name for ease of use on this site.

Paul,

Quick is not something I have had to deal with, however Mr W we will meet and i will get my revenge

You'd better blush John, I told you nobody was to know our secret

And anyway why the dig at me? considering you've been playing the game double the length of time than myself and your vast knowledge, perhaps you should be working on bringing that handicap of yours closer to mine!

Handicaps don't count for much when you can't take your game from your home course to another.  I can still beat you on gross strokeplay so I would say that either your handicap is too low or mine is too high.

Chris we're both at different stages within our game yours with your handicap coming down, mine with me struggling to keep my handicap down.

Its true that i basically learnt to play on one course "brandhall" and can play it pretty well! But realising this was bad for my game on the whole i joined this site to meet new people, play different courses develop my game further, so there is bound to be a transition period where my game will suffer during this time. I,m prepared for my handicap to go as high as 20 during this time (aug08-aug-09  at the moment i,m holding my own, as well as not getting on with my irons at present and only recently adding a wood to my bag all in all i can,t complain!

You know your game is way better than your handicap, and i know once i get to know the courses better and gain a better understanding of course management my handicap will come down..

I  JUST RESPOND TO ANOTHER MR PERRY DIG, FANCY A GAME NEXT FRIDAY, CALDERFIELDS.....?????

I'm in.  I rarely turn a game down, you should know that.  I haven't played there for mare than a year so will be interesting.  Have a look at the course when you go to Direct Golf to try your irons out.  The first tee will give you a feel for the course, though you will probably wish you hadn't.......

Straight through the club house (literally, in the doors and the doors to the course are in front of you).  Practice green is too your immediate left, first tee is 30 yards straight up the path in front of you and just off to the right.  The view from the tee box is completely different to that from the path......
