Bad weather halts play

Posted by: user26342 | Sat 6th Sep 2008 22:45 | Last Reply

Hi,

My course has been closed since Friday am & looks set to be shut tomorrow as well.

I'm struggling to find anywhere in my area open tomorrow

Is anyone else having the same problem or are your courses quick draining??

If anyone is playing tomorrow & it's not too far away I sure would like an invitation to join up .

Thanks,

John.

Booked a tee time for Monday at my course today and the pro didn't mention any problem.  However we have had another inch or so of rain since then.  Still the course Oakmere does advertise itself as Nottinghamshire's all weather course because it drains so well.  It will be interesting to see if it lives up to its own hype.

I did eventually find somewhere that was open & not on temps.....West Midlands Golf.

Me & my playing parnter teed off at 14:06 & played the whole round in t-shirts!!!!

What made it even more enjoyable was that at the par 3 18th signature hole I parred it & my partner birdied it.

So what looked like a lousy weekend turned out to rather superb!

John.
