Having joined Conwy GC this year, I've had my website members area activated now.

I was looking through the site and noticed that the GUW (Golf Union Wales) have now assessed the SSS off the whites as 74 against the Par of 72 which indicates it's strength and I'm happy about it............................should I be or do you think I'm SAD!!!!!!

It gives you two more shots to play with, be thankful for that, Wayne.

Trust me John I am and was when I played last Saturday it was windy, in fact so windy that when it rained for the last 5 holes the rain was hitting us sideways man that course is long

Should make the others I play (Golfshake ones) easier though eh????

I have just had a shifty at the website for Conwy and what a great course, I'm sure that playing regularly at Conwy will improve your game...well either that or make you suicidal

I too have just had a 'shifty' at conwy website and I must say that this kind of course is what really suits my game. I played most of my golf on the links, probably why I don't hit the ball very high.

I would love to come up and play at a week-end, or anytime come to that, Wayne.

I'd love to join you for a round at Conwy some time in the future but the diary is a bit cluttered at the moment what with work and all that

I'll see if David Ley wants to join us once I've sorted teh diary out.

Oh course John & David M your welcome and Kev & David L too it would be interesting to see how you get on (practise on getting out of Pot Bunkers would be an advantage, especially the fairway ones )

In fact why can't Golfshake do an event there!!!!!

If you 4 are coming for the weekend we could probably do Conwy one day and Nefyn the other!!!!!

Anyone else interested in looking at Conwy use the link:

I think if we did a golfshake event at either Conwy or Nefyn, we would have to buy a job lot of balls to replace all the ones that would end up in the sea!

If any of you get the chance, then definately play Nefyn - the "old" 8 holes are stunning and even if its rainy and windy (which it will be!) its an awesome golf course!

C'mon Luke your team at Golfbreaks should be able to knock up a weekend break at Conwy and Nefyn for a reasonable price including accomodation you could probably get the Bryncynnan Hotel (which is near Nefyn) so you arrive at Conwy for the first day's event, and then travel to the Bryncynnan and stay there for the game at Nefyn on the Sunday.

I have numbers if you contact me

change of plan re Bryncynnan, they only have 3 double rooms but I can sort out names of places to stay if you want.

I would love to play these courses too. They feature regularly in the golf magazines and I have often wished I could play there.

Go for it Wayne, it is always nice to play at a real golf course, as opposed to these manufactured USGA ones. Have clubs will travel. I think that would be a nice trip for the wife as well, stay in a nice hotel in Chester, leave her there to spend money the only way they know how and drive on up for the golf each day.

Organise it Wayne...

Darren said, on Monday, that he was going to organise an event sometime in October...Perhaps this should be it?

Only problem is, I'm away on holiday from 5th - 23rd October.

Sorry Wayne, couldn't help myself.

I'm all excited the course looks amazing , I may be tapping you before an official Tour.

I am puzzeled how you got in though,is there a relaxed dress code??

By the way Rose sends her love, and that she missed you on Monday, that's a statement we don't hear to often " I miss Wayne". I was thinking if I stop over the weekend we can go out clubbing , I believe Saturday night is Shingles night, and what's this i hear your playing off shingle figures now!

Hope your feelin better matey.

you mean Rosa!!!!

At least someone loves me and no there isn't a relaxed dress code but then agian I've not hit them with my attire yet.

May do that in the monthly medal 30th Aug can you be barred for what you wear even if it conforms to the rules???

My shingles have all but cleared up now, just an ache through the muscle, but i've been told it's the nerves that are affected thanks for your kind words and concern

You've got my number call me if you want to play anytime David, in fact anyone can do so and if you haven't got my number then ask for it.
