It was interesting to listen to his Mind coach, Bob Rotella, at the Open who said that for the last 3 years Harrington has been playing without any swing thoughts. He just picks his target & hits the ball.

It's obviousley paying dividends.

Well done Harrington.

as i posted my original thread, roughly 30secs later sergio put his ball into the water on the 16th! harringhton "fair play to him" sore his chance and took it well. he deserved his victory! considering there had only been one birdie on the 18th all week, and that was a fluke from 100yrds. harrington is showing hiself to be the full package.

did anyone notice his eyes over the last few holes, he looked like he was in a trance...

THE HARRINGTON "DEATH" STARE!!!! i think tiger may have somebody to worry about at last.

Yes I saw the Harrington death stare, but we have to admit that Sergio gave away two majors as well.  The PGA Championship, for being the so called 4th major sure has produced an ongoing series of dramatic tournaments over the past few years, moreso than any of the others I would think.

I'm still putting my money on Tiger though until someone knocks him off mano y mano.  Bob May had the chance as well as Rocco Mediate and those were the two best majors I've ever seen in recent history.  Then again, watching Tiger lap the field at Pebble Beach and the Masters for his first major was pure joy to behold.

I followed Tiger Woods at the Duetchebank Open in Boston a few years ago, along with about a zillion people and he really is by far light years ahead of everyone else.

He swings the club, connects the ball, and plays his approach shots from the same rough as everyone else. Where he is better is around the greens, and at holing those important 6-10' par putts, and somehow coming up with something "special" from time to time. Harrington seems to be in that same zone these days, and is doing something that Tiger does not do well, by coming from behind to win major championships. I'm definately interested to see what happens next year if Harrington continues to build on his new found desire to win.
