I have E&L Insurance but some members on here have experienced problems claiming, it's horses for courses mate. |

Michael Noel![]() Handicap : 15.4 Location : ![]() Posts : | Reply : Tue 5th Aug 2008 20:23 Wayne, yes I am. I've played golf across the USA, Mexico, Scotland a few times, travelling across the pond to and from the USA and don't even know what golf insurance is for. |

Jon T![]() Handicap : 10.9 Location : ![]() Posts : | Reply : Wed 6th Aug 2008 17:39 Michael, playing golf in USA, I'd have worldwide cover in a heartbeat. Those bloomin ambulance chaser lawyers over there would make you rather skint, very quickly, if you smashed a ball onto a road and caused a pileup. Better to be safe than sorry. |
Lee Miller![]() Handicap : 25.1 Location : ![]() Posts : | Reply : Thu 7th Aug 2008 13:14 I have just got some golf insurance via the AA (Cars not Alcoholics) it was £35 for cover in Europe and covered all the usual stuff. I think its key to find a "new for old" policy. Found a few cheaper quotes not on "new for old" but knew id be able to trust the AA. I think insurance should be compulsary. |
Michael Noel![]() Handicap : 15.4 Location : ![]() Posts : | Reply : Thu 7th Aug 2008 20:29 Geez, you guys talk about ambulance chasers in the USA? From what I've seen here in the UK in less than one year, the USA is legally tame by comparison to the UK. But I've never been sued after hitting a car with a golf ball in the USA.
Besides, let them sue me. They can take everything I own including all my debts. That will teach them to sue me. |
John Pettitt![]() Handicap : 13.3 Location : ![]() Posts : | Reply : Thu 7th Aug 2008 20:43 Lee, I am glad that you trust the AA, because I had a bad experience with them some years ago in Italy. car broke down at a golf course I was playing at, which was some eighty miles from the villa I had rented and even with AA five star insurance it cost me an awful lot of money. |
