Lee Butler![]() Handicap : 13.2 Location : ![]() Posts : | Posted : Sun 15th Jun 2008 13:26 Hi all, Just wanted some ideas for a wedge I want to get. I hit my pitching wedge about 140yrds and my sand wedge about 90-100yrds. I want to get a wedge that will give me a result somewhere in between the yardages above. My sand wedge is a 56 degree wedge. If I was to get a gap wedge, what sort of angle of degrees should I look into getting? Thanks in advance for your help. |

I asume that its going to be in the 46* to for 48* degree range. If so then as Johnathan said a 52* will suit you well. But as always trying them before you get your wallet out is always a good idea as diffrent club manufacturers have diffrent bounce from wedges which make a diffrence. Danny

At the other end of the scale what do you use from 6o yards and in? ive heard that there are 72* wedges on the market but havnt needed one myself but this may be of a benefit to you. |

Lee Butler![]() Handicap : 13.2 Location : ![]() Posts : | Reply : Mon 16th Jun 2008 20:56 I thought 52* would be about right. Colin - 60 yards in I tend to use my sand wedge.
John - How much do you want for it?? |

Christopher Watmore![]() Handicap : 16.1 Location : ![]() Posts : | Reply : Mon 16th Jun 2008 21:18 I carry PW, a 52 and a 58 wedge, Find the 52 to be so useful. You won't go wrong with that choice Lee. |
Lee Butler![]() Handicap : 13.2 Location : ![]() Posts : | Reply : Tue 8th Jul 2008 20:57 Just wanted to thank you all for your input on this thread. I ended up purchasing a TaylorMade TP Satin 52* wedge to go with my 56* one! Thanks again! |
