lucky ive also been able to attain some locals to boost up my numbers

i think most of the members whom are active on the site are around the nottinghamshire etc area

Must admit I agree regarding holidays, I only get 20 and I've used/planned 11 for Golf so my soulmate wants to know when I'm taking her for a weeks holiday!!!!!!!!

Get some weekend games organised

Having just tried to organise a weekend event, it is not as easy as you might think Waynetta.

Most golf courses like to keep the weekends free for members and their associated competitions, especially during the summer months. They have offered only limited numbers, usually up to 20 players some as low as 16. There also seems to be a growing trend to charge weekend rates on Friday too. 

I may be a late entry on this one Wayne as I am not sure yet what is happening with our holls but I am penciling that in, be nice after some softie bashing in April.

Have just joined and put in for the Northern cup, after playing in Paul's Empress open. Thinking of going on Sunday to play and stay overnight. Anyone else doing the same? If so, please drop me a line and perhaps we can organise a 4 ball on the Sunday afternoon?

Be good to see you there Al, looking forward to seeing your driver out a bit more then, mightily impressive at the Empress.  The Sunday groupings are usually sorted beforehand but they can be juggled a bit to sort individual preferences and that normally means a bit of a mini comp takes place anyway.  I'll happily join you for a round, on the understanding that you give me a few tips on my pre-shot routine.....
