GreenRunner speedgolf sessions - free to newcomers - Thurs 2nd July

Posted by: user642038 | Tue 30th Jun 2015 18:07 | Last Reply

Well we're just starting out. We've set up www.greenrunner.club to work with local courses to provide speedgolf sessions.

Our 2nd speedgolf session is on Thursday 2nd July, at Laleham Golf Club, Chertsey, Surrey. Tee times from 6pm to 9.05pm. Free to newcomers, normally £10* for 18 holes, £7.50* for 9 (*for this specific course).

Having worked in the golf business whilst seeing so many people leaving the sport in the last few years, especially to take up running and cycling, we wanted to find a way that keeps people in the game and appeals to a younger, unisex audience too. So we're launching GreenRunner to provide speedgolf sessions in the late afternoons and evenings at a time when people would love to play a round of golf, but don't expect to be able to due to light/closed courses.

By combining running and golf, you can play a full round under 80 minutes. And it's a concept where you play a proper golf course, using proper clubs. You carry up to 7 clubs in a lightweight golf bag (your choice as to which), can wear trainers/trail shoes.

Come along and try - it's free for newcomers and try beat the 9 or 18 hole course record.

9 hole = 70.24 (41 shots, 29mins 24 seconds ) 18 hole = 136.40 (78 shots, 58 minutes 40 seconds)
